Happy Spring banner

I was so inspired by The Chester cards I wanted to use him on something else other than a card.  I decided to make a banner with him!  I love making banners for the holidays.  Banners are so quick and fun to make.  Originally I was going to make an Easter banner but decided again to go with spring theme so it could be kept up longer.  Here I have pix showing up a few up close pix of the banner.  I will also be doing a YouTube video.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8jfzFvAWW0&sns=em
Sorry for the lighting it was late when I finished it.  I made this for my girlfriend's daughter.  She has a super cute play area and I figured she could hang this up somewhere.  First I used my My favorite Things banner die.  I used the largest size and cut it with burlap.  It's a burlap paper stack I got from Joanns.  I used the next size down to cut out the pattern paper.  The stack is a pastel 6x6 pack from michaels.
I die cut 3 circles out with my stitched mft circles in watercolor paper.  I colored all the images with my distress markers.  I stamped Chester on one, used paper smooches mini monogram set for my sentiment, and the third circle I remembered my new Purple Onion Design stamps!  I couldn't wait to use the toadstool and snail stamp.  I thought it went perfect with this project.
I backed the circles up with kraft paper that I punched out with my scallop punch.  I glued the circles down but then popped up the scallops for some dimension.
Then I started embellishing the banner with little flowers and buttons.  I used random items in my stash including the adorable green clip.
I also used my martha Stewart punch for the butterflies.
I used my crop a dile to make holes for my white grommets to run pretty white satin ribbon through.
I hope that you enjoyed my quick spring project!
